Formerly known as Perfectly Queer, PQ Talent is the home of exceptional talent across Melbourne, Naarm and beyond.
We launched in 2022 with a bold idea and a cheeky play on words. Perfectly Queer was about being unapologetically ourselves, and making it perfectly clear why booking queer talent brings something truly special to an event. And it still means that to us.
As we’ve grown, we’ve also listened.
We became aware that the words carry different weight for different people, and that while the word 'queer' has been proudly reclaimed by many, it can still feel sensitive or confronting for some.

PQ Talent is founded and led by Aza Coward, a long-time advocate for queer talent and a familiar face in Australia’s entertainment and events scene.
Aza’s drag persona, Della Katessen, gained national and international attention during the pandemic through online shows, trivia and bingo, while building a loyal client base and reimagining what queer entertainment could look like in changing times.
With a background spanning radio, live entertainment, training and event production, Aza brings a deep understanding of both performance and people, and a strong belief that talent should be booked for their excellence, not reduced to labels.
